Father's Day

I'm sure Andy had a doozey!

We got up as usual this morning. We were contemplating going somewhere for lunch, but at about 10:30 it was becoming apparent we would not be able to do so. Eli starting sucking on blankets (a quirky thing he does when he gets tired), and Nate started walking around the living room lying his head down on everything. We knew we would not be able to stretch this awake time out. Or at least we were not brave enough to do so at a restaurant. So, we decided to just go ahead and put them down for their nap. I had to be at work at 1pm so I called around trying to find somewhere I could go pick up some lunch and get back in time to eat it and get back to work. (for those of you who dont know - I live about 30 mins from any restaurant and 30 mins from work). Well, no one would be open or have a to-go order done early enough. So I just made lunch. (I am NOT a cook!) Andy had a fancy lunch of microwaved beef tips and gravy over mashed potatoes made from flakes. And I made biscuits. Amazingly, it was actually pretty good.

Then, I headed off to work - leaving Andy to literally make this "Father's Day". Andy had the boys all day long all by himself. He even went grocery shopping!! Note: Andy has the boys every Sunday - but his mom usually tries to provide some relief - even if it's for an hour.

Thank you Andy for being such a great Daddy! We love you!

Remember: this is my last Sunday to work until December - you have reinforcements coming!!
