The boys have found their comfort items.
Eli has been a blanket sucker for quite some time now. His blanket of choice was our living room throw - but to prevent him from dragging the big blanket around and tripping on it - one of the last times the boys were at my mom's she cut the blanket in 3 pieces, hemmed it, then so crudely (because this is my family's sense of humor) monogrammed "Eli Sucks (blankets)" on it. Whenever Eli is tired, bored or fussy - all he has to do is go get is blanket and go to town!
Nate's comfort item is more recently acquired. For the boys baby shower, Joyce, or "Mimmie" as they are now calling her, got them a TV-interactive stuffed dog. Well, as my children are way too hyper to sit through a video - we've never really used it for that purpose. It's always been on a shelf in the boys room. Nate discovered it not too long ago - and he LOVES IT! It has a blue button for a belly-button. It lites up. When you push it - the dog giggles, barks, or sings the "belly-button" song as we refer to it in our house.
These are must have items for bed times!
